2018 Sping:COHERENCE 共振
In the 2013 movie Coherence, eight friends experience at a dinner party a troubling chain of reality twisting events. An astronomical anomaly unfold complex mysteries, that causes severe relationship dramas. Coherence asks us to think about parallel worlds. Is our world just one manifestation of the underlying parallel world structure? How many parallel world do people really live in? How do companies operate their parallel multi business operations? Why do we encounter unexpected problems? Where do they come from?
The word “coherence” defines itself in general as an esthetic consistent relationship of parts, or the quality of comprehensible language or thoughts. Words related to coherence are; unity, congruity, agreement, correspondence, rationality, concordance, and more.
Coherence in philosophy is sometimes minced as "the whole"? Is there only one absolute single system which truth is based on? In general, the underlying parts of the coherence system is fatal for judging validity of one particular truth. Moreover a paradigm shift is only accepted after a critical mass of people understand and accept its value. It is to state that "truth" only exist in within a system and doesn't exist outside of a system. Does it sound coherent to you? Only when a number of people join this “coherent” system, that the truth would finally be accepted and transmitted.
What are the believes that people actually hold about truth? How do we specify this particular set of system components? What are the defaults and errors that distract coherence and our truth? The philosopher Brand Blanshard coined once; "What mind is like can be understood only from within." And the pioneering philosopher Baruch Spinoza claimed;"Be not astonished at new ideas; for it is well known to you that a thing does not therefore cease to be true because it is not accepted by many.". Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz who invented a digital mechanic calculator in the year of 1672 said; "We live in the best of all possible worlds."
This spring, at TEDxFuxingPark, we present you a series of speakers who's life was heavily influenced by the quest of seeking the truth after discovering problems or setbacks, that boosted new energy, life advancements and ideas. The Chinese Word for "crisis" is composed of two characters "危机". The former US President John F. Kennedy used it in his speeches to tell that one of the characters represents "danger" and the other one stands for "opportunity". Are you with us? Come, and find out all the misteries in life and universe.
